前言 Foreword

If Hangzhou is known for the beautiful landscape of the West Lake, it is known to me for its gentle people. Although many photographed here may not be from the city, they reflect the serenity of the surroundings. It is a real pleasure to walk and watch the different pictures unfold in front of my eyes, to wait for the right frame, for a balanced photograph, for a stolen moment. I think it is stolen because I almost did not work for this intense moment of pleasure, because it is a reward to be able to express my intimate feelings about people to people.

This exhibition is dedicated to friends; friends from many years ago as well as friends from yesterday. If I can take, or make, good pictures, it is certainly because I have good friends. I hope to come back many times to meet my friends in Hangzhou.

如果说杭州因西湖美景而闻名于世，于我而言印象最深刻的却是这儿温文尔雅的人。尽管我拍摄的作品有很多并非来自市区，但它们反映出了周边的宁静祥和。边走边欣赏眼前展现的不同画面，然后等待一个完美的构图、一个平衡的点、一个瞬间的抓拍，这对我来说是一种极大的享受。我把这一刻称为溜走的瞬间，因为在这一刻我沉浸在极度的快乐中几乎忘记了拍摄。也正是因为这一瞬间的抓拍让我觉得它是对我的一种奖励，它流露出人与人之间的亲密无间。

这个展览献给我的朋友们—无论是多年前的朋友，还是昨天刚认识的朋友。正因为有你们这些好朋友，所以才能创作出优秀的摄影作品。我希望以后能经常来杭州与你们相聚。

 

 

Alain Jullien简介

摄影家、国际著名摄影艺术策展人。1952年10月出生于法国里昂。1975年毕业于英国诺丁汉特伦特大学，获摄影史与电影制作文学士，1979年获得美国纽约市帕森设计院摄影版画硕士学位。

2001年至2003年任中国平遥国际摄影大展组委会艺术策划委员会副主任兼欧洲联络处首席代表。

2005年任首届连州国际摄影年展海外主策展人，以及广东美术馆“国际摄影双年展”策展人。

2010年在上海全摄影画廊举办个人展览“对策”。

2011年任第三届大理国际影会摄影类总策展人。

2016年任天水摄影双年展策展人。其摄影作品曾被美国华盛顿国立美术馆和法国巴黎国家图书馆等机构收藏。
